Artist Decoded by Yoshino

"I started this series as a means for exploration, an exploration of self, and an exploration of the perspectives of other artists. This series is an unabridged documentation of conversations between artists. It’s a series dedicated to breaking down the barriers we tend to set up in our own minds. I want to inspire future creatives to have the courage to explore and experiment. This is about making dreams a reality and not about letting our dreams fall to the wayside. My intention is to give my audience a sense of real human connection, something that feels rich and organic. When I was thinking of a title I thought of the word “movement”. In relation to the Renaissance period in art, my goal for this program is to signify a rebirth of consciousness towards the way we look at contemporary art." - Yoshino (@yoshinostudios)

Born in Germany in 1979, Daniel Sannwald is emerging as one of the true original voices in contemporary photography. In a landscape dominated by referential and repetitive imagery, Daniel is establishing a strong and recognizable signature that is already catching the attention of some of the most influential trendsetters in the fashion and photography industries. His surrealistic and hauntingly beautiful images speak of a world where Fashion and Art meet to reveal a unique narrative. Daniel studied at the Royal Academy in Antwerp (MA Honours) and is now based in London.

Timothy Wilson is a painter based in Maine. He works from direct painting on location and expounds upon his studies in larger studio paintings. Both a meditative ritual and obsessive dedication, his daily outings in stormy, serene, and inclement weather to coastal Atlantic locations help inform an experiential vocabulary and expressionist mark making. After years of portrait and figurative work, Timothy merged his holistic concepts of the ocean, landscape, and figure; aiming to find a more abstract and resonate image through the natural deconstruction of imagery.

Timothy keeps a permanent studio on the coast of Maine. He teaches (occasionally) at the Maine College of Art. He received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2008.

"After receiving my BFA in photography from Art Center College of Design I spent a year shooting professionally. From there I moved on to producing, first in magazines, then in advertising where I have worked for the past 9 years. As a senior art producer, I'm continuously surrounded by inspiring artists whose work I feel should be enjoyed by everyone. I've created atinyspace.com to share the work of the many talented artists I am moved by everyday." - Sabrina Bajaj
